Match Report - K.E.H.A.N.A

Win 10 - 2 !

  • The other team were extremely aggressive, especially since we went 2 - 0 up within the first 5 minutes.
  • Ben got into a fight (Their goalkeeper was abusing him from the other end of the pitch)
  • Chris got into a fight (The Beardyfag had a go at Chris whilst he was out on a sub)
  • Brandon got into a fight (Beardyfag, "got all up in his shit")
  • Tom scored 4 goals ! He's awesome when he gets space.
  • Chris scored an amazing volley from behind halfway !
  • Ben was pissing them off with his crazy barging tackles.
  • Jaime was an AWESOME sub.
So the Beardyfag was a complete fag - with a beard. He was a complete wanker, right from the start he was abusing people. Their whole team were crazy aggressive in their approach, and then tackled with intent to hurt. KEHANA stood their ground though, and through the leadership of Tom and Chris, were able to come out the victors. VERY good build up play from the team.

YAY ! WE BEAT THE TOP TEAM BY 8 GOALS !

Some Sidenotes + New vid/song + Some of your time = This Post.

Well then, Let us begin;

In the bliss of remembering our earlier years at Mater Dei, several amusing things have been coming back to me;

  1. Elliot and ? walking around with a Bible during Recess and Lunch, stopping people in the hallways, and then reading them a small passage. Then they would say, "The service has ended", bow to you and walk up to another group of unsuspecting potential Christians.
  2. Mr Cuka being our year co-ordinator for our very first day (for some reason). That's funny.
  3. Mr Cuka ... being funny (for a day).
  4. Luke/Goose being in my home-room and introducing himself to everyone as "Goose".
  5. Everyone punching Blaise in the stomach because, and I quote Miguel, "It's fun to punch IRON - HARD - ABS"
 - Matthew is a pedanticbitch
 - Band practice again ... YAY!
 - Witchcraft is my favourite song off, "Immersion"

And now, times for the vid/song -

Pendulum have done a remix of the classic, "ABC News" theme music. It's hilarious, and pretty cool.
Check it out -

That is all for now.

Batman Mints.

Some of you may know that in the school production of Macbeth last year, I played the role of Banquo.  As a character, Banquo has a son. The name of Banquo's son in the play is Fleance.
The actor who played Fleance in the production, is a kid called Quaid. Now Quaid is very into superheroes and comic books, not unlike a small Emerson. When I went away to Queensland for my cousins wedding, I was fortunate enough to go to dreamworld. At dreamworld I purchased some batman mints, as a present for my son Fleance.

I never gave them to him.
And I still haven't, over a year later.
I have them sitting in my room.
He always asks about them when I see him.

Indiscriminate Indoor Ideas.

Okay, so we effectively played two games as a team at indoor last night. A few positive points from the game(s) firstly;

  • Tom, Brandon and Myself seem to have good attacking chemistry.
  • Chris shoots with a surprisingly high amount of accuracy and power.
  • Nathan can dribble past multiple opponents in tight situations.
  • Ben is somewhat strong in winning the ball.
  • Tom gets into some great attacking positions.
Having said that, there are many things that we still need to work on. If we are to succeed, we will need to work to improve and utilise our individual skills.

  • Brandon and Myself will need to alternate the goalkeeping duties more often. With me going to take a few games to get back into top form, and the way our defence seemed to perform, our forwards are going to have to run back and cover a lot more than usual. Switching between keepers in some way during the games will help keep the stronger players fresh, while not weakening our superior goalkeeping (Something that we will have to establish and maintain over the season).
  • Chris will need to foray up forward more often. He can create space and shoot well, so with more experience he could prove to be a handy striker.
  • Nathan needs to shoot more. He get's a lot of power and will score lots with confidence. We need him to get on the score-sheet, as he (Along with Tom) will be one of the most versatile players in the team.
  • Ben will need to play defence most of the time. He has potential, but must improve and maintain his positioning.
  • If we have only Ben OR Chris in defence at the one time, we can have them learn the game better, if they have someone more experienced (Tom/Nathan/Brandon) defending alongside them. Goalkeepers will need to give them more instruction.
  • Tom is our key player. He will create very good chances for our somewhat inexperienced forwards(Apart from myself and Brandon). Good defending as well.
Suggested line-ups;

If Brandon is off -
  1. Attack - Tom/Chris
    Defence - Ben/Nathan
    G.K - Joe
  2. Attack - Nathan/Chris
    Defence - Ben/Tom
    G.K - Joe
If Ben is off -
  1. Attack - Chris/Nathan
    Defence - Tom/Brandon
    G.K - Joe
  2. Attack - Tom/Joe
    Defence - Chris/Nathan
    G.K - Brandon
  3. Attack - Tom/Brandon
    Defence - Chris/Nathan
    G.K - Joe

Our strongest line-ups;
Offensive
  • Attack - Tom/Brandon
    Defence - Nathan/Ben
    G.K - Joe
Offensive (Option 2)
  • Attack - Tom/Joe
    Defence - Nathan/Chris
    G.K - Brandon
Defensive
  • Attack - Chris/Nathan
    Defence - Tom/Brandon
    G.K - Joe
Defensive (Option 2)
  • Attack - Joe/Chris
    Defence - Tom/Ben
    G.K - Brandon

Indirect Indoor Injuries.

  1. Bruised left thumb
  2. Burnt left hip
  3. Strained biceps
  4. Strained triceps
  5. Strained left calf muscle (Partially due to overuse this week with cross-country training as well as cramping up during the second game)
  6. Bruised left knee
  7. Badly bruised right knee
  8. Strained stomach muscles
  9. Sore lower back
I am also aware Brandon achieved a bleeding left elbow and burnt hip.
Success !

I hate playing the first game of the season.
